It's very likely that you haven't considered the word apprentice. I understand. I've been there myself. The truth is, the world has changed significantly since I left the Air Force. I didn't know much about apprenticeship opportunities, and if I did, I thought I was better than them. The fact is, wow! Things have evolved. Apprenticeships and on-the-job training (OJT) programs have transformed the landscape. Seriously, if you haven't thought about it, you should. You can take advantage of your GI BILL while getting paid for OJT and attending college. Take a few minutes to learn about some of the opportunities. There are local, state, and federal resources, and they can truly broaden your horizons.
